Most states require two years of supervised experience or an equivalent 3,000 hours to gain license. Many states require an examination in order to achieve license to work as a social worker.

A social worker job description extends to a variety of responsibilities to aid people in recovering from issues with society and with general life issues. Ultimately, a social worker must have the patience and drive to help others that can overcome behavioral and mental health issues as they work with clients struggling with the world. They may be responsible for working with students, broken homes, disabled persons, and people suffering from addiction.
